Activities in Tarifa

The Forest of Mist

Enjoy an incredible walk through the Mist Forest to the antennas at the top of the mountain. On a windy day in Levante there is a dense cloud that remains over the mountain and becomes a magical world when doing the route. There is fog everywhere but the trees stop it and allow you to see the road. There is a lot of humidity and the vegetation is from another world. It's really a great experience.

What to do in Tarifa with children

Valdevaqueros Dune

The Punta Paloma dune is one of the iconic places in Tarifa and offers beautiful views, where on a windy day you can see hundreds of kites and windsurfers in the bay of Valdevaqueros, with Tarifa and Morocco in the background.

It is an ideal place to go with children and you can take the opportunity to eat at the El Mirlo restaurant, at the end of the dune road. The restaurant is located in a former military base, but is now open to everyone. The fish is delicious!

What to do in Gibraltar

Just 46km from Tarifa

Gibraltar is a great alternative to escape the strong Levante winds, since the wind there is not as strong as in Tarifa, and also for children to see monkeys with views of the Bay of Algeciras and Morocco in the background. Gibraltar is a British territory and you will need your Spanish passport or ID to cross the border.

It is a great option to get away and spend a day there.
